Last week, I had a large number of inquiries asking me:
1) Why I did not name the network marketing company I work with.
2) The name of the network marketing company I work with.
I said I was going to be transparent and I will be, but let me be mysterious for one more day. Because when I tell you the name, the first thing most people will do is google it. Right? Especially if you have never heard of it. The top three hits will not be the company site, but "ads" from other sources with info about the products and company.
The first hit on my google search was: Does (name of company) shakes work?
In this list, there are five MLM or network marketing companies, and yes the company I partner with is one of these. Looking through this list myself, to me, it is not an apples-apples comparison. One of the most notable differences to me is the number of calories and amount protein in each. What do you think?
What I like to tell people is that I love a bag of Lays potato chips. I mean I love them. Others might enjoy Cape Cod chips or some other brand local to where they live. To each their own. When I see something interesting at the supermarket, I try it. If I like it, I buy it again.
What I have noticed with products from networking companies, is that people shop differently. They are much more tentative. I feel so terrible that some people have had a negative experience with this type of shopping. There are many reasons for this, and I understand completely.
It is a business, and if you have never been in business or sales, the skill level to successfully help a client may not be there in the beginning. It is often those 'newbies' who call their friends and family and don't fully 'vet' the need they might have for the products. But as we like to say, "Sharing is Caring," and that's how networking works, correct?
I am a believer in the business model of network marketing. I am also a believer in the products of my company. Tomorrow I will share my 'supermarket." with you. *Although I can't take credit for what follows (another partner in the company wrote it), it gives a unique view as to how it all works.

I market people to visit my supermarket and give them a good experience. I receive payment for service and a commission for food purchased.
The customer has a great experience, and they refer a friend to visit the supermarket. The customer gets paid for simply referring their friend to the service, and I get paid a commission on the food purchased as the supermarket owner.

There is a weirdness around my supermarket, but I love my online supermarket of customers, they are looking sexier, more toned, smiling more and glowing every day.... I think my supermarket will grow to thousands of customers as word keeps getting out.
My supermarket beats the toxic chemicals sold to children in aisle 7. And the five scoops of added sugar in Aisle 5, not to mention the false food 5-star rating in Aisle 9.
I love my job. Happiest supermarket owner in the world, because I am making a difference in my customer's life and making them feel better for a living.
Some people don't like my supermarket, but that's okay. That's what other shops are for.


What many people fail to realize is that they are networking every single day! Telling a friend about a new restaurant, a movie they saw, a song they downloaded to their Ipod, a new car they purchased etc. The list is way too long to talk about here. Do we ever get rewarded for bringing new business to these folks? I mean I suppose someone might argue that you can get reward points from this company or that one for talking it up but certainly not on a daily basis. That's what network companies offer. A chance to get paid a commission for sharing your love of a product, good or service. Easy peasy. The most important thing to remember when "selling" from this kind of store is that some will, some won't....So what? I will keep telling people about this, amazing, product line until all those cows come home..Wherever home is! LOL! #teamsassypats
